Protecting Cultural Heritage

All contributors to the portal are aware of our responisbility to protect our common cultural heritage. To this end, as far as possible we only publish material with a proven, secure provenance. However, it is in the nature of Celtic numismatics that some important coin types are only known from examples of uncertain or dubious provenance. Such material will only be included where absolutley unavoidable. Its inclusion is in no way to be taken as approval of the uncontrolled, illegal removal of archaeological artefacts from their context.
